A journal of my attempt to change my habits and extend my life. It is a health choice not conscience. Giving up animal products is difficult when you don't want to, no-one else wants you to, and, especially, when there's no-one to talk to. So I talk to the machine.

Maggie is an American teacher, writer and promoter of exercise and health. In the 1970s PBS viewers knew her as the host of "Maggie and the Beautiful Machine" a WGBH-TV production and based on the courses she taught at MIT. The show led to the publication of the first of four books on health and fitness.
